Love All Around

Well the nation around you is crumbling

while the stars fall from the sky

and the slippery red moon has now betrayed you

as nation rises against nation

and wars and famines are the norm

the earth begins to quake from its foundation

 

Well I don't quite know about you but I 

yes I can see the writing on the wall

it may seem far away it may seem hopeless

Is there something we can do after all

 

Is there hope in the hopelessness

Is there joy to be found

Is there peace where the heartache is

Can't there be love all around

While a man is out there shivering in the cold

His fingers and his limbs chilled to the bone

we walk on by as if we’d never join him

 

A mother searches food to feed her baby

An orphan child is crying to be loved

Such pictures on your screen are someone’s story

 

Well I don't quite know about you but I 

yes I can see the writing on the wall

it may seem far away it may seem hopeless

there's something we can do after all

be the peace when the heartache ends

Now all of man’s securities are shaking

Like a leaf in autumn blown by the wind

Will they hold tight or will they fall and crumble?
