As I listened to the Genuine Melodies Album, J.J. beautifully gives a glimpse into his faith (Lifting Me/Vine), his relationship to God through good and bad (Everlasting/Deliver Me), and ultimately shows us just how valuable to God we are, and the lengths He goes to have a relationship with each of us (Nobody Loves Me Like Jesus). And though, being a Christian, isn’t always rainbows and sunshine, (Bring Them Down Lord/Under The Bus) there’s comfort in knowing that through the good, the bad, and the ugly, that God is always there for us, and helping us get through any and all things we face. (Healed) You don’t have to be perfect or have it all together to come to God, God loves us and meets with us just the way we are. It doesn’t matter how many times we mess up, God is always there saying come to me, let Me help, let Me love you, let Me carry some of that burden. (Bring the Fire)
So, if you’re still reading this, I would encourage you to listen to this CD with an open heart. If you have felt like there’s something missing in your heart or life, if you felt like giving up, or if you feel like there’s no hope, let these songs bring you encouragement that there is hope. There is a light at the end of the tunnel and there’s an amazing life changing power available to you from God. He desperately wants a personal relationship with you and His invitation is always open to you. All you have to do is come to Him. And, if you’ve already entered into a personal relationship with God, let these songs be a reminder of God’s goodness, faithfulness and love.
Each song is beautiful and unique in its own way. Lyrically, the songs are honest, and invite you to take a journey with God just like J.J. did and continues to do today. It’s my prayer that this CD, blesses, encourages, and kicks you in the pants (Love All Around/Now Is The Time) to not sit idle in your faith, but to take it to the next level, like it did for me.
J.J. Beauvais, is an incredible musician, singer and songwriter, who surprisingly has not gotten the recognition he truly deserves. Don’t let his humbleness fool you, he’s a hidden gem of originality, superior musicianship and spark, that can rival the best in the industry. In a seemingly world of copycats, J.J. continues to be a breath of fresh air. It’s only a matter of time before the word Beauvais becomes a household name. J.J. offers a little something for everyone, so I truly believe you will absolutely love this CD. But don’t take my word for it, take a listen for yourself and make up your own mind. I truly believe you won’t be disappointed.
